How do I order a cake?

• Call us at 778-230-9472 (9 a.m. to 9 p.m. PST) or email us anytime at sugarfakecakes@yahoo.ca to reserve your date.

What areas do you deliver to?

• We deliver throughout the Lower Mainland. The cost of delivery depends on the location. Most deliveries cost $25. Deliveries to distant locations or to locations that require paid parking may cost more.

How should I plan for the cake?

• Just tell your wedding planner or wedding venue that you will need a table for your cake. Call us and order your cake.

Can I use my own wedding topper on the cake?

• Yes. Just be careful not to indent the fondant icing. Please see the Using Your Own Decorations page for more information on decorating the cake yourself.

Can I use fresh flowers on the cake?

• Yes but be sure not to allow flowers to drip on the icing (we suggest placing a small plain white plate under the flowers to protect the cake). Remember you will not receive back your full deposit if the cake is seriously damaged. Please see the Using Your Own Decorations page for more information on decorating the cake yourself. We are trained in floral design should you need assistance in arranging the flowers.

Do you rent additional items?

• We also rent cake stands. Prices start at $25.

Can you provide a 'real cake' top tier so that we can cut the cake?

• Yes we can. The top tier cake will be covered in fondant icing and look just like the fake tiers. Some brides choose to have a real bottom layer (up to 100 servings) - perfect for a small wedding! Please Contact Us for more information.

Do you rent cakes for weddings in less than 24 hours?

• Yes! Call us right away to book a cake and to arrange for pick-up or delivery.

Do you rent cakes in the event of a wedding cake disaster?

• Absolutely! Just give us a call - we are more than happy to assist when things go wrong!

Can we take pictures with the cake at a photographer's studio?

• Definitely! Our fake cakes are perfect for wedding pictures. Pick the cake up from us or hire us to delivery to the location for the photos.

Can I pay with a credit card?

• Sorry but not at this time. We only accept cash or cheque and will return your deposit in cash when the cake is returned undamaged.

What if the cake is damaged?

• The most common damage is to the fondant icing. If the repairs are minimal and easily repairable (pin holes, little dents, etc.) we won't charge you a fee. When the damage is extensive it requires dismantling the cake, removing the damaged fondant icing, replacing it with fresh fondant icing, and reassembling the cake. For this type of damage we charge $50 per tier damaged. The entire deposit is forfeited if the cake is damaged beyond repair.

Where can we visit the cakes?

• Many of the cakes are available for online viewing or you can set up a consultation to view the cakes (located in Coquitlam). Please check the Contact Us page for more information.

Will you design a custom cake for me to RENT?

• It depends. Your request might be something we'd like to add to our collection of fake cakes so we would consider making it for you to rent. Or we may be able to add some custom features to one of our cakes to match the look you want. Send us a photo and we'll see what we can do!

Will you design a custom cake for me to BUY?

• Yes! Custom designed fake cakes are priced depending on size, cost of materials, and complexity.
